I have been questioned lately for a few SL designers it's due my comment about girly men in my last post. I'm not an homophobic man, even can understand that there are trans gender people in our world. I will quote the words of one of Italy’s most successful fashion journalists to be very clear about this matter: " Angelo Flaccavento calls the new gender-bending male look like "femminiello", It is an affectionate term for those whose style presentation leans towards the feminine; it is not necessarily gay or trans, and it is definitely not straight and narrow. Instead, it blurs the boundaries between masculine and feminine." Flaccavento calls it the ‘fourth sex’. We praise women who experiment with androgynous fashion, but what about the other way around? Welcome to my Blog. I do not try to discover the black thread in the men SL Fashion but it is well known that men in SL have not many options to look decent. Unfortunately, for every 20 womenswear designers there is only 1 of menswear and some of those designers make clothes very femenine, not to mention the high cost of them. It seems they can't think that there are still many real men that like to look as a Man, not as a Girly Man. We should add that there are many brands of mesh bodies coming to the market in the months to come, and this will make it harder to choose our wardrobe. Anyway , the idea of this blog is to show you a little bit of what my world is like in SL, call it fashion, poses and even furniture to show off.
